Wood siding has been a popular choice for homes for centuries because of its unbeatable durability and beauty. You'll see a lot of classic older
houses with wood siding that's still gorgeous because it's been well taken care of by the homeowners. With proper maintenance, exterior wood siding
easily outlasts vinyl siding. (You'll also see all the non-wood siding products imitating the look of real wood anyway, so why not go with the genuine article?)
Wood siding can also be stained as opposed to painting the house. This gives you more choices when you're deciding on a look for your home. Staining also
helps the wood to retain visible and distinctive grain patterning while painting covers it completely.
We offer a wide variety of different siding species and accessories, including Eastern White Pine siding, Western Red Cedar shingles, California White Fir
log cabin siding and corners, and Western Red Cedar wavy edge skirl siding. Come down and to take a look at these beauties for yourself!
If the price of red cedar these days scares you, Uncle Hilde’s has the solution. These tapersawns are nearly 100% heartwood and are sawn with
an extra thick 5/8” butt. Knots are allowed in the #3 grade. Typically only a small percentage of the pieces will have unsound defects in the
exposed part of the shingle. Seven bundles will cover 100 SF at 5.5” exposure.
All 16' makes FJ- Primed siding easy to work with. The Oil-Based Primer on all sides means it's ready to topcoat right away.
Manufactured to simulate “live edge” clapboards found on many of New Hampshire’s old camps. Uncle Hilde’s is the only stocking dealer
of this product in New England. Kiln Dried. Other sizes available through special order.
Our California White Fir Cabin Siding is kiln dried, comes in long lengths, accepts finishes well. A lot less expensive than Premium Eastern
White Pine.
California White Fir Log Cabin Corners are a unique accessory offered exclusively by Uncle Hilde’s in New England. As opposed to using
traditional cornerboards, these pre-cut corners compliment 2x8 log cabin siding by creating the appearance of a real log home.
