Brazilian Redwood (Massaranduba) ¾” x 3” Solid Prefinished – #1 Common. A deep, refined, dark red color with a fine, more consistent grain and less color variation than many exotics. Very dense and hard-wearing. This exotic flooring is heavier toward short pieces (1’ to 3’, average length 1.8’).  Some boxes may contain pieces longer than 3’. This grade generally allows less than 5% of very minor defect, such as finish and milling imperfections. But again they are VERY minor and are virtually indiscernible once the floor is down. Uncle Hilde's tip - if you want a perfect floor, set the pieces with minor defect aside and use them in closets or beneath cabinets.
