18” #3 Western Red Cedar Tapersawn

Shingles – If the price of red cedar these

days scares you, Uncle Hilde’s has the

solution. These tapersawns are nearly 100%

heartwood and are sawn with an extra thick

5/8” butt. Knots are allowed in the #3

grade. Typically only a small percentage of

the pieces will have unsound defects in the

exposed part of the shingle. Seven bundles

will cover 100 SF at5.5” exposure.
